I read once that “when the student is ready the teacher will appear”. This, I found, did not mean a physical person but that part of us that is connected to the whole, our higher self that does know and awaits our desire to learn and understand. I found that I was led to the books, teachings, and wisdom that helped form the understanding of this journey. It is a life long learning experience and one that requires letting go of all we think we know and being totally open to being led.
These are books that may not be well known but, even though older, offer much wisdom and insight. I started reading the Bible and went directly to the New Testament and the teachings of Jesus. Then Edgar Cayce, Kahlil Gibran and Joel Goldsmith were introduced. There are now many books for self help and spiritual awareness and when you read, that which is true will stand out and the rest will fade into theory….. always read with an open mind!
