TO WILL OR NOT TO WILL Sandra Rae Hymel
Jesus, I wish to pray as you pray: “My will is Your will, O God, in this day."
Yet, my cup is filled with fear of what God’s will might be.
“God, is Your will for my good or my agony?
Do You will my emptiness, loneliness, my pain?
Do You will violence or will that I struggle
in vain?
This cup, what is it, the suffering ahead?
Will the wine be sweet, or bitter instead?
Perhaps the cup is this vessel that is me
Containing the Truth I alone can now see.
And Your will, O God, is that I follow through, That I be who I am, to my own Self be true.
Let my will be Your will, O God, in this
day!”
LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS Sandra Rae Hymel
There is seductiveness in the dark room ... The red glow of the dark light Exposing the negative ... Which in turn, reveals the positive, The True Light, the Truth of who you are!
WINTER CHANDELIER Sandra Rae Hymel
Crystalled trees shivering in the silvered sky Adorned with glassed ornaments against foil Winter at it's best, shimmering in the light And I -- Breathless at the beauty in the sight.
SOLAS! ... or ... O LIGHT! [Solas means "light" in Irish Gaelic ... written in honor of the Summer Solstice] Sandra Rae Hymel
Hail Thee, O Solas! Of candle, night light, star light - snow. Sun-light, moon-light, fire-light - glow!
Hail Thee, O Solas! Of day, lightning followed by thunder and following bugs, Bulbs, lamps -- reflecting. ... Long days, short nights - light house --- Directing.
Hail Thee, O Solas! Light of Lights ... Eternal Being Inward - Outward - Forever Seeing! Give us Thy sight, that we too might see The Light that Thou would have us Be!
YOU ARE GOD'S DANCE
